A local artist, who paints pocket size paintings. She grew up in Northern California, has a BFA degree in illustration from Long Beach State University, and has since traveled extensively. She has lived in Alaska, Utah, Colorado and most recently Scotland, before moving to the beautiful Oregon coast. With each place she has lived, she has worked at a different form of art... from Faux (or interior decorative) painting to murals to childrens book illustration and now on to making paintings for galleries. “I love the journey of life. You just never know what’s around that next bend and my art has adapted to its changing environment in surprising ways.” These tiny paintings are meant to give the viewer a happy glimpse at a special place or a loving companion or a funny little character. They are meant to be light hearted and are small enough to fit in a house that may already be full of art or a small house without room for a big piece of art (or even an RV). These paintings are hand made with oil or acrylic on board and often have drift wood frames. “The search for the perfect drift wood for these frames is one of my favorite parts of the process, and it means that whoever goes home with one of these paintings is literally taking a bit of the Beach home with them.” All of the designs are originals and painted with joy.
