Ron Thornhill moved to Willamina, Or, where he began teaching elementary school in 1978. Ron taught school for 23.5 years at the 4th and 5th grade level. Ron retired from teaching in 2000 at the age of 55.
After retirement in 2000 Ron started doing Ink and Watercolor art. His favorite medium is Pointalism.
Ron is a published author. His art skills have lead to illustrating his own books. Ron has written, and self published 5 books up to date; 2 children’s books, 2 outdoor books, and one poetry book. Hungry Harold, (a story too gross for girls), is available through Authorhouse at Amazon.com.
Ron is a member of Pacific Artist Alliance (PAA) in Lincoln City, Or. He is also a member of the Lincoln City Cultural Center, the Artist Student Alliance (ASA), the Grand Ronde Art Guild, and Writers In Transition (Wit).
